I was insecure and unsure about my skills with vocaloid from the start, but I'm improved and grown so much over the months. (It’s for real!) so if you haven't heard by now, Crypton and Yamaha are splitting up. if you don't know their roles with vocaloid, I'll explain- Crypton own six vocaloid characters- Miku, Rin, Len, Kaito, Meiko, and Luka- and they're involved in a lot of media such as the games and concerts. Yamaha basically supplies the vocaloid editors and programs, whilst making some vocaloids of their own (such as Gumi and Dex). Yamaha was apparently holding Crypton back, so they couldn't do as much as they wanted with the program. and with the huge flop of V5 (what with it being so glitchy, expensive, hard to use, etc.), Crypton is deciding to take their characters and separate them from VOCALOID itself. they're going to continue working on and developing Piapro studio, their own vocal synthesizer program. in my opinion, I think it will work out! besides the split in the vocaloid community, and the wondering if we should change our names, and what Miku and others will be called, and such. I think Crypton has the customers more in mind and hopefully will make their program affordable, easy, and fun!
