I wrote a comment on the og vid (PLEASE go listen to it!!!!!!!!!) but I'll paste it here as well: (trans rambling incoming lol) Something that always makes me feel a little better when it feels horrible to be trans- just to exist at all- is looking at trans people in history. For trans men/mascs, I highly recommend reading up on Lou Sullivan (his journals were also posthumously published in a book, I've read it, it's really good lol, "We Both Laughed in Pleasure"). This song really reminded me of one of my favorite quotes of his (as he was living as a gay trans man in the 80s, and unfortunately dealt with the AIDs crisis head-on): "I took a certain pleasure in informing the gender clinic that even though their program told me I could not live as a gay man, it looks like I'm going to die like one." (Which I hope he knew how badass that was even when he wrote it lol) As someone that's dealt with death a lot, it may be morbid, but I recommend seeking out Caitlin Doughty (a mortician)'s video "Protecting Trans Bodies in Death". She goes over some things that you can do while you're alive to have your wishes taken into account after you're gone.
