【Hodong】Wilt (Versequence)【VOX Factory Cover】

I have been messing around with VOX Factory off and on for the past few months. Vox is a Korean vocal synthesizer that is still in development. It is currently free and the devs are hard at work making improvements all the time. My personal favorite of the available vocalists has always been Hodong, so I always make it a point to test her on new files when I do my occasional check in with how things are progressing. This is the first one I've ever felt like posting publicly other than a brief test I posted to twitter ages ago. I think Vox is promising and I'm eagerly following the development. In it's current state, there isn't much you can do tuning wise other than adjust a few parameters like vibrato and vocal strength. There are no pitch parameters to edit, you cannot pitch bend. This is something they seem to be planning for the future though, so I will be patient. In the meantime, VocalShifter is a great way to add some minor pitch bending adjustments post render. The vocal quality is really fantastic and all the vocals have very unique tones. The English has improved significantly as well since my initial testing, I had much less trouble with slurred and cut off phonetics this time around. Render speed seems much faster now as well. Vox can now also read UFData from UtaFormatix which is amazing !!! It can't import pitch parameters, but this is something they may add when you can actually adjust pitch in the future. Overall, I recommend giving Vox a try. It's one of the smoothest browser based engines I've used so far and the devs really seem to listen to their users. They also seem to care about making sure their AI use is Ethical. They had a rough start with some AI Gen character designs that were placeholders and not too long ago they had a miscommunication with a voice provider and her management company which I think they handled very well. So please go give Vox a try if you're in the market for a budding new vocal synth to play with. The timing is off because at the time I only had access to SynthV Basic and that version of SynthV causes audio lag on the imported wav files during playback in the editor.
