Train to Yesteryear is a song me and Trace have been making for months now, and for me it feels like the culmination of so many feelings of nostalgia I've been feeling this year; it's been a hectic and hard year for me. In my life as an artist, and in general, I've been riding waves of success and dips of failures, it's forced me to look back at what I've had to do to get where I am. As blessed as I am for the process I've been through to get where I am now, it hasn't been without it's problems. Looking forward into the future, I realise too that it only gets harder from here on out. This is a song is about the feeling of clinging onto the past and being fearful of the future.
