『Miku & DEX』 The Chattering Lack of Common Sense- GHOST 『VOCALOID Cover』

oh boy!!! uh I've been working on this cover for mo nnt hss. I was originally gonna make my own VSQx but I had to use someone else's because I'm awful at timing notes lmao. but umm a few days ago I just started tuning the hell out of it. like,,, I don't think I've ever used pitch bend this much in a cover?? ever since I got miku I've just wanted to pitch bend,,,, it's so weird lmao but I like it!! so the two lovely persons in the thumbnail are my OCs Meika and Taka. they are twins and I will talk about their story at the bottom of the desc. because I think it lines up really well with this song uwu original song & video (GHOST): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksW7SuH6IAs base VSQx: LittleBear / madotspooki thumbnail, tuning: moi vocals: DEX, Hatsune Miku Solid EVEC/Soft EVEC ok these two. so. Meika is a gorl with schizophrenia. Taka is her twin brother, who actually died when their mother tried to abort them both. Meika survived, and eventually had her first schizophrenic break when she was in her teens. she had Taka as an imaginary friend when she was little, but began hallucinating him and believing he was real. she also had a delusion where she believed he was a scekzadied, a different species that is more advanced than humans. only other scekzadied can see each other, and she believes she is half that and half human, so she's somewhere in the middle. so Taka isn't a good influence for her- he isolates her from others and grows onto her paranoia about other people and the world. he confuses her to the point where her own memory isn't reliable anymore and she can barely tell what's real and what's a lie. he makes her believe her own parents (adoptive) are dangerous. at some point, she breaks her wrist while falling down a staircase, and Taka has put so much crap into her head that she doesn't know if she did it on her own or if her parents pushed her down the stairs. while she's in the hospital, they notice her psychotic behavior and she's admitted into a psychiatric ward. there, her psychosis starts wearing off and she starts getting better. she grows away from Taka after becoming less paranoid and realizing that the world isn't as bad as she thought. in response, Taka basically tells her that most everything he ever told her was a lie, and she'd have to figure out what it was. he left her with that and she could no longer see him, then falls into another psychosis. to be continued etc etc but that's basically the events that the song covers. Taka being bandage guy, Meika being long hair guy. um here are some lyrics I think associate with them well. "nothing lines up / matters anymore" - Taka breaks Meika down to believe that nothing matters, the world is cruel, etc. he also confuses the heck out of her. "everything is show and tell" - Meika has gone through a lot with doctors and psychologists and such- she's had her body examined and behaviors recognized and she's also had to open up a lot. "everybody hides their face" - Taka being a little ironic shit "bring about the fear inside you, make a storm of tears and anger, never mind, don't worry 'bout me" - Meika's strange behaviors and rambling that are slightly concerning. but also she doesn't want people being concerned about her :( chorus quotes that are two long - Meika is v confused and also she thinks too make about scary things. "why not try to let go?" Taka trying to make decisions for her. "I'm allowing change" she decides while she's in the ward, why not try to change her lifestyle and improve? "hearing our every thought" this two understand each other on a huge as level. well, Meika thinks she does. Taka knows what she's thinking and Meika guesses. "moving along, dancing along, playing along" Meika's just kinda going along with everything happening in the ward. Taka is upset about that because he has less control over her now. "waiting for it, preparing it, looking for it" - she's waiting anxiously for the day she'll be released and she has no idea what the heck that'll be like "feeling around, messing around / laughing a lot, losing a lot" - this is the first time in a while Meika has felt like a normal person. she's acting like a normal teenager, playing around with everyone else while also opening up about her past and what scares her. chorus lyrics - Taka is losing his purpose by not having any control in Meika or planting fear in her. "I've been sorta noticing fallacies and things that see me" - the fallacies are the delusions Meika is growing apart from. she is the thing that sees him. "surely you've always known I'm a little out of sorts" Taka taunting Meika, how could you have not seen this coming? how could you have believed me? "this is what I shouldn't be" - Meika in psychosis "this is what I wanna be" - Taka renewing his control over her fear so that's all thanks for coming to my tedta
