The clicks of the rarest form of transportation echoed through the nearly empty streets of Old Earth. A mountain bike currently weaving in between buildings sped through the city as it made its way to the rider's final destination for the day. In his hand was a letter. Letters were still common if they were addressed to a business. However this was different. This letter was addressed to a home. In the 7 years this mail courier had worked he had never seen it. It felt special. After arriving at his destination he made sure his bike was locked up before heading into the huge apartment building. 4 floors up was the address. He knocked on the door and inserted the letter into the mail slot. As he left he couldn't help but feel like it was just a normal delivery at the end of the day. The dopamine rush of knowing he was delivering a letter to someone was gone. However there was one glimmer of hope he had. From the way the letter looked he knew it was a ticket to Zelstal. As he looked towards the violet colored sunset he thought to himself... I originally started because I thought it would be a job that I enjoy. Something that I could do that not only would make me feel happy, but also something that will help me live my life. Delivering mail to the people of Old Earth sure is a repetitive task. Even if people don't get physical mail a lot anymore. It almost feels like I've been stuck in an infinite loop of mundane tasks with little to no time to myself. Of course, I make use of my vacation days, but even then they don't feel like enough. I delivered a letter last night that seemed extremely important. I feel like I have to go to Zelstal to watch it unfold.
