Platinum Disco (Nisemonogatari) ENGLISH COVER feat. Eleanor Forte

Fun fact: This is the third time that this song has appeared in some form or another on this channel! I’ll retire it for a while probably but if I ever completely run out of ideas, I’ll write a remix. This was a super fun cover to make- I wanted to include the “hai, hai!”s and all that but unfortunately Eleanor’s voice doesn’t allow itself a lot of excitement. I decided that she probably wouldn’t be shouting like that anyway so I cut the lines completely, including at the bridge. I had an idea to put in a rap or something but that never really happened. The lyrics for this song were an absolute pleasure to write- I’ve been writing translyrics for about 4 years now and Platinum Disco was one of the first songs I attempted because it’s one of the first anime songs I got into. Unfortunately I can’t find the original which is a shame but yeah I’ve thought about this song before. The chorus and post-chorus were particularly hard because of the short lines, it was hard to decide where to put the rhymes. Also, what rhymes with discotheque? Heck? Wreck? I went with neck. Also I made art!!
