A recent listening party over on Bandcamp [https://ichmusik.bandcamp.com/album/alchemy-of-differences] mentioned Intonarumori -- early 20th Century instruments intended to expose the music listening public to a brave new world of sounds: mechanically produced roars, gurgles, hisses, shrieks and clangs, all played to "classically" orchestrated scores. A shift to incorporate a clumsy comparison to modern music production and a sprinkle of opaque personal meaning and, hey presto, we have a song. *Tech Notes* Cubase crafting using Steinberg, Reason and freesound.org sources.
