The production time and my IRL matters were big obstacles in getting this done. Hell I was supposed to make an UTAU version and Japanese version of this! The song has a very significant meaning to me, having tasted the devastation brought by Ondoy. The song was played in the year where despair was the only option. NOTE: 1. "Dahil ikaw Bro" (Because of you, Bro) was changed into "Dahil ikaw 'yon" (It's because of you) to make the song more religion-neutral, while still being appropriate as a christmas song. This means the christmas song can be sung no matter the faith of the person. After all, although "Bro" (His modern nickname in the telenovela May Bukas Pa), "Jesus" or "God" is the "star ng pasko," we ourselves becomes stars in our own way that guides other people in the dark, especially when we give gifts, money, guidance, our time, and happiness to another. Christmas is all about giving to another, just like how the stars give light in the middle of darkness. 2. The Japanese version is slightly different when reverse-translated due to the fact that some elements that does not have a proper equivalent in Japanese. Even the Christmas we know is viewed differently there. It is not a direct translation from Tagalog or English.
