Mephistopheles is locked in place, simply looking at the figure as they continue walking toward him, fear present on his previously smug face. “You weren’t content with the punishment I gave you before, I suppose. You truly are greedy,” The Architect’s voice booms, the world practically shaking under their influence. “And you decided to harass one of my eyes and ears.” “Wait… your…” “Unbeknownst to you, I had noticed today that one of my aspects was out of reach. So naturally, I grew curious. You took her into your grasp and messed with her life… despicable.” “What do you mean?! What do you mean, aspectl?!” “You didn’t guess?” The Architect walks up to Camellia, putting their hand on her shoulder protectively. “I’d think a smart devil like you would connect two and two together. All of you have been controlling my life from the shadows and I was LIED TO about all of it!” She shakes off the Architect’s hand. “And you…” She turns, glaring at Mephistopheles. “You ruined my life! I… I’ll kill you!” The scenery shifts, becoming grey and dismal, distorting around her as graves begin sprouting from the ground. A voice from the shadows, light and feminine, offers… “Don’t you want to punish him? Aren’t you angry?” Camellia looks around, the Architect and Mephistopheles nowhere to be seen. “Who are you?” “Oh, no one important. Just a mutual hater of the man who ruined your life. You see, I didn’t have the power, or a reason, to pull him down here. My sibling refused to let me… but you, being an aspect of them, could lend me enough power to gain my prize. I could offer you a bit of my power as well, make you my right hand.” “Why do you want him?” “He’s annoying, first of all, and second of all… I don’t like the thought of an immortal being who’s slowly gaining power through belief existing on the surface.” “...” “Well? And I’m taking back everything that’s rightfully mine.” “You can’t just take matters into your own hands like this!” Camellia stares them down, now white and black hair flowing down her back, and inky black eyes meeting brown ones. “Oh but I can. Go back and cower in the Surface, like the cowardly god you are.” The Architect reaches for her, but more hands come from the sky, pulling them upwards. “Now you... I’ll take your place as ruler of the Chapel of Miracles. You might call it spiteful, but I call it fair.” “Why are you doing this?” He rasps. “Why? Why am I doing this? Because you drove me to this.” A giggle flows through the air as his mouth is pulled under, eyes simply staring up at her as he shakes. “Bye bye, Mephistopheles.
