"Mr. Hades is a mighty king Must be making some mighty big deals Seems like he owns everything" "Kind of makes you wonder how it feels" Original Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRGQqFfqps0&list=OLAK5uy_mLV4dX6iJ7iSzq868NZj8YQKJ5UGVFc0s Instrumental: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkI01Aw5150 Tools used: Vocals: Eleanor Forte AI Lite, Eleanor Forte Standard Lite Mixing and Inst Arrangement: Reaper Art: Krita Vid: Vegas Pro 14.0 happy fall! summer is slipping away at long last okay so i watched rambu's animatic of a song from this musical and i was like well now i have to see it so i went and saw it in person and i've been obsessed ever since. my fav musical ever now first off, i've also been obsessed with eleanor forte ai's low range ever since that circus p self cover of last words. and i also really liked thinking about the parallels between hades and eurydice; obviously the main couples of the show have a lot of obvious parallels, but there's really something about that line i pasted up above ("seems like he owns everything/kinda makes you wonder how it feels") that really makes my brain think!! i assume what she means in that moment is the stability that comes from having money, but the fact the musical ends (spoilers for musical and also the original myth lol) with them both in a similar position really gives it a new taste; they're both just waiting for their loves to come back to them now tldr; i decided to use eleanor standard for eurydice. she was definitely a lot harder to tune, especially when placed next to ellie ai (even the lite version) just because ellie ai's pronunciation is just so much more natural. even so, i think i did alright; ellie standard's power was helpful for eurydice's lines. im also proud of the mix!! hard to manage with ellie ai's softness when she gets that deep, and she def doesn't have the chest rumbles that the og singer has to cut through the instrumental (i had to actually jump up many parts of the song an octave just bc it goes so incredibly low, but i didnt want to pitch the whole thing up or ellie wouldnt get to show off her low range as much). it was actually so damn hard picking out the melody from vocals that were so low, i pulled up some sheet music but largely i just guessed and did my best. for the art,, it's mostly a cop out if i'm honest, i just did it while waiting for my laundry to finish at like 2 am and extraordinarily sleep deprived, and i do not have the patience to clean it further or redo it. i do like that the red stands out so nicely the vid is mostly a cop out as well, but i actually quite like that i went for showing double the lines at once than i usually do. makes it read more like a poem, it's more obvious to see repeated words and rhymes over the verses. also i like that it was way fuckin faster to do ive been hellishly busy as always but more stuff should be coming soon! lots of projects in progress, most just need a little push to get posted. --- #synthv #synthvai #eleanorforte #vocaloid #hadestown #musical
