Ever Romantic feat. Kasane Teto Hello Friends, Happy April 1st! Today is Teto's birthday, as well as the birthday of Sergei Rachmaninoff. This song is dedicated to both of them. Rachmaninoff is among the greatest composers/pianists in music history, often referred to as "The Last Romantic" and represents the final form of Romantic Classical music as we know it. His immeasurable contribution to music changed how future composers understood music. Rachamninoff brought the epitome of the Romantic Era into the 20th century, continuing the legacy of the other great Romantic Era composers. His influence spread further than just classical music, and across into many other genres. In fact, American songwritier Eric Carmen's hit song "All By Myself" was based on Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto. Personally, he is one of the composers closest to my heart, among Chopin and Ravel. It is safe to say that without Rachmaninoff, there would never be a MiliSen.
