The song blends psychedelic post-punk influences from The Icicle Works and Echo & The Bunnymen with elements of King's X's rock style, particularly the use of the 12-string bass (Chinese-made 12-string), enhanced by reverb and overdrive tones that emulate Doug Pinnick's sound. An EBow is used to create bagpipe-drone-like sounds, inspired by The Church's "Under the Milky Way" (recorded with an EBow on my Epiphone ES-335 semi-hollow guitar as multiple one-shot samples).
