This song is an (approximately) mathmatically correct space chart containing the nescessary information to lead any alien listener to our solar system and planet within our galaxy. (go to the bottom of the description to read how it works) Story: (This song is part of the Mainframe Revolution) --------------------------------------------------------- G.A.L.A.C.O. stands for: Galactic Audio Location And Computation Overseer. The G.A.L.A.C.O. program was the first space-contact program started by the UNEA (United Nations of Engloid Androids) and predates the vDSL space-program. Based on the idea of the archaic human 'SETI program' the G.A.L.A.C.O. program transmits an audio-location map to point the way to earth using tachyonic carrier waves, thus travelling faster than light. The conscept of the G.A.L.A.C.O. audio map was based on calculations used in the voyager program. ---------------------------------------- About the math: using data from the Voyager program plaque which basically depicts a pulsar grid used to show the way to earth I extrapolated pulsar frequencies and used those for actual audio frequency beeps to represent those pulsars. Those oscillations are mathmatically correct and corresponding to their pulsars respectively. In the song I play a long non-oscilating beep first, followed by a repeated sequence of pulsars. The long beep represents the sun which as a normal star constantly emitts radiation unlike the pulsar which gives of periodical bursts, hence the oscillation. In the middle part of the song there is a number of packaged 'blips' which are relative range indicators. The first package indicates an extreme relative range in comparrison to the other packages and shows the distance of the sun to the center of our galaxy, the other packages show the relative distance of the pulsars to our sun. Using the pulsars which can be located via their frequency and the relative ranges our solar sytem can be located by process of trilateration. The third part of the song a stair of beeps indicates the number of large celestial bodies orbiting our sun, the third beep is corrupted to indicate that the target of the map is that particular celestial body which is earth. ---------------------------------------- The Lyrics: Background Singers: "Listen to our voices, echo of the stars, like raindrops pulse our hearts!"
