【SynthV】 BLOW my GALE (w/ Official English Lyrics) - Umamusume Pretty Derby

But beyond that, I noticed that with the new winning concert video for BLOW my GALE, the lyrics actually somewhat match the contour of the melody! I wanted to demonstrate this through a quick Synth V cover of the song using these same official lyrics. Aside from a couple of lines that needed a slight adjustment to properly fit with the melody ("A fresh new wind /that's/ blowing sure" and "Once the horizon comes into view"), I did my best to take the lyrics from the localized concert video as closely as possible. Not only did Cygames' localization team commit to keeping the english lines from the original japanese intact, they put in the extra effort to make certain lines sound phonetically similar TO the original japanese AS WELL AS have certain lines rhyme with one another! The attention to detail in this one song's localization alone is incredible. This started as just a proof of concept, so minimal effort was done on my end to personalize the tuning aside from making select phoneme adjustments on certain notes. If I were to make a proper Synth V cover of this song I'd probably want to remake the instrumental too besides doing an entire retune lol #Umamusume #ウマ娘
