The term "Kagomé" refers to the pattern of a basket or cage, and it symbolizes being trapped. The lyrics of original "Kagomé Kagomé" are believed to metaphorically depict a story of a man rescuing a captive woman. (There are different interpretations, however.) In the present song, I draw inspiration from the essence of the traditional "Kagimé Kagimé" while infusing it with a modern twist.
