happy birthday, miku!!!! i'm in california so it's still the 30th in my timezone, but i also wanted to make sure it was still the 31st in japan time by the time this went up. While this song is more representative of teto, I've always found the lyrics to be extremely touching for vocal synthesis in general because of how f0, catathesis, and other audio/vocal tech stuff are used in the lyrics along with the emotional message of progress. I also know that there are other covers of this song with her voice, but I wanted to put my own take on it. So for Miku's most important birthday, I wanted her to sing the song that is most representative of vocal synthesis technology to me, because Miku is unquestionably the largest icon for the culture, folklore, community, technology, and soul of vocal synthesis. I wish I could've gotten my hands on the NT voicebank for this cover- similar to people using teto's utau alongside her AI, but due to time constraints I couldn't get a render.
