Blood Knight- Miss Eveningfrost ft. Ayame [Synth V Original Song]

Please heed the content warning at the beginning of the video. Blood Knight, as you can probably guess from the title, is significantly darker and edgier than most of the songs I've posted recently. It's kind of funny that in my previous song, Cinderella, the lyrics discuss being tired of playing the knight, whereas here with Blood Knight, the lyrics are almost the complete opposite as they focus on one girl's journey to embracing the battlefield and all the horrors that come with it. The protagonist of Blood Knight is an original character, Garnet, I created years ago, back when I was more invested in the idea of writing novels. Though she was not the main character of the trilogy of books I hoped to write, I have always liked the sequences of events starring Garnet that I presented in the lyrics. And on a personal level, I'm glad to finally find the opportunity to immortalize one of my original characters in one of my songs. The story begins before the lyrics start with the main antagonist arriving in Garnet's hometown presenting a choice- comply with his orders or perish. Garnet and the town representative try to convince him to take a third option- to continue on his way and leave the town alone. The antagonist, not impressed with their attempts at negotiation, disposes of the town representative, leaving Garnet with no choice but to run back home with the representative's sword in hand and prepare for battle. The lyrics start from the tense moments of waiting for the battle to begin and cover the events of the battle as Garnet comes to realize that her magic, which allows her to control blood, is not the curse people always treat it to be but the only way she can defeat their enemies and save the town. Unfortunately, her success is nothing but a pyrrhic victory- the town is destroyed, and so many people she cared for have perished.
