Original Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSdWXodz8vc Tools used: Vocals: SOLARIA AI Mixing: Reaper Art: Krita Vid: Blender, Vegas Pro 14.0 dolphins heehee i like this song so much, so so much, and i also am a bit of an idiot bc i messed up the lyrics SO MUCH in this cover aaaagghgh (both in the tuning stage and in the video subtitles ahaha). though, there was one pair of lines that i changed on purpose ("when we saw the seaside blue"/"well i'm glad I was with you") bc i thought it was really cute how it changed the whole song into a bit of a response to the original, and how the rest of the song actually doesn't change bc the responder also feels the same way about not wanting to leave. solaria and luka hold hands i think. redeemed myself with my use of solaria in this one imo! im much happier with it than last time (although thats probably due to me having an easier time in general with tuning gentler vocals). i think the harmonies slap also the mix again was overall painless though the harmonies are clashing with each other a little bit in louder portions. still need more practice with it, but for the most part it's quite pleasing (to my ears at least) i reused some cloud practice paintings i drew recently and slapped some color adjustments onto it to make the bg, and i think my casual attempt at replicating socky's art style wasn't super accurate but it turned out cute so im not complaining! i was originally intending to be more ambitious with the motion graphic animations since i was working off the high of figuring so much stuff out in blender since the last upload, but i got whacked over the head with a bunch of deadlines that had been steadily creeping up for the past few weeks that i had also been steadily ignoring so! it's just the little square and a couple of squiggles. someday i will figure out the handwriting animation stuff, but that day is not today lol after so many sleepless hours this past week doing projects i was obligated to, working on this has honestly been very refreshing!! that said i also dropped the cover that was in progress to make this cover p much as soon as the og song came out so itll be nice to chip away at the other one again now that im done with this --- #synthv #synthvSOLARIA #SOLARIA
