This project idea has been sitting in my head for like a month or so now, but this week something possessed me to speedrun the whole thing in the span of like 3-4 days ;;^^ my brain would not let me rest till I finished it lmao I actually only listened to this song for the first time a few months ago. For some reason, I think when something (like a tv show or a song, etc) is really hyped up or it's something I'm excited for, I have to avoid it for a bit until it's like "the right time." Not really sure why but yeah that's basically what happened with Lagtrain lol But now that I finally watched it, I was immediately like, "Ah yes. Perfect for Muse." And had the song on repeat for a few weeks. Once I finally got around to working on it, I struggled quite a bit with the mix at first and figuring out exactly where in Muse's voice range that it would sound best. I was pretty sure I wanted to lower it an octave but that ended up being a bit too low in some spots and was throwing things off, so in the end I decided to keep the lower octave but raise the key +2. Thankfully, I think most of the quality of the instrumental stayed intact afterwards. Otherwise, the animations were quite fun to make! There were more than I was originally expecting going into it, but once I started I just kept going. I really enjoy the simplistic and more sketchy style of the original PV, so I tried to carry that style over a little into my own drawings here.
