Take Me Higher (feat. Mo Xu)

WHO'S READY TO PARTY??? This song was an absolute blast to work on! I really tapped into the nostalgic vibes for this one., taking a lot of inspiration from Eurobeat and nightcore music. For the vocals, I chose Mo Xu, a Synthesizer V voicebank. I feel like she's underrated and needs more attention, so I gave her some love! That being said, I did play around with her gender factor to give her voice that squeaky chipmunk nightcore vibe. The backing vocals were also made using her voice. I may have added some other vocal samples as well... do you recognize them? Most of the synths were made using Vital, but that iconic-sounding Eurobeat synth brass was a sample created by a friend of a friend. Also, the distorted guitar-like synth solo was performed on my trusty Yamaha Reface CS keytar! I swear, that little thing works its way into nearly every song I work on! The drums were made using Monster Drums, like always. I drew the art in Krita, and put the video together in Clipchamp.
