"ish" 115 BPM Uhhhh, about 3-4 hours of smashing the keyboard for random noises. Then I smashed out a terrible drum pattern and bass line. Then I began rhyming for some reason. Then I made Miku say the terrible rhymes. Then I thought it'd be funny if Miku was super sassy and enunciating. Then I thought it'd be funny if I tuned this funny. Then I kept writing the lyrics, dropped the rhyming scheme. Song ended up being saucy AND cheesy. Then I kept laughing. So I kept going. Then I kept laughing. Then I ran out of ideas. So I had to stop laughing and think. Then I couldn't think anymore so I called it. Then I looked at the project time. 14 hours of work, plus the 3-4 of smashing the midi earlier. 17.5 total hours of goof. Then I figured to make a crappy MV. So I open up MS Paint. Then I realize I can't draw. So I open up MMD. Then I realize I can't animate. So I animate stomp. Then I import export to Kdenlive. Stomp is out of sync... Then I have to manually sync stomp.... Still out of sync.... Then I appreciate. Then laugh (regret). Then upload. So now here (12AM). Tired. .... Anyway, I guess my brain settled on actually attempting to tune Miku for once instead of relying on flat key notes. Since my "song" is so simple, it ended up being pretty simple. "Relatively" simple. I also guess I tried pushing further past 30-40 seconds (again), but I still can't quite breach past that. So it's still just 60 seconds of 2 - 30s loops. Still not too good at transitioning points of a song. Oh well... I do think the bass line and drum loop is somewhat head bobbin'. But not by much. Gotta love that 707 Cowbell... As a side note, Miku's V4 English is still very hard to work with. I think I put a lot more effort this time trying to get her to sound nice while still sounding goofy as heck. She still ends up slurring too much and can't pronounce words right. Especially towards the end when I mash consonants and vowels so closely together. Towards the 2nd loop around, I tried to alternate pitch bends and words to see how it sounds and suits for Miku.... It doesn't sound too nice. But it makes for good practice. I REAAAAALLY stretched the words chosen, their enunciation, and their pronunciation for the "rhymes". It failed! I tried my best to edit the phonemes where needed. It wasn't needed often, but there is a difference where it needs to be. Other times, there is no difference, and you're left with what the engine (Piapro Studio) and the sample of Miku's voice is capable of. I hope Yamaha V6 AI Cryptonloids come out one day. I really tried adding in breathes, maybe too much. I don't know, you can't really hear it. I'm not good at mixing. You're really limited with just 5 samples and time shifting the length of the sampled note. In another joke video, I sampled my own breathing and pitched it to accent Miku. I think this could do with some more play around. Honestly, the irony is still that her V4X (JP) Engrish is cleaner and less slurred than her V4 ENG... With the caveat of a heavy Japanese accent. Need to practice more... At some point, I really should try out SynthV Gumi... Or play around with SynthV Teto more. I also need to learn how to use a Synthesizer. I'm reaching the limits of what a 3xOSC can do and provide in terms of (nice) sounds. I also need to get better drum noises. It bugs me that I couldn't animate Miku's stomp to be on beat. But, skill issue on my part. I tried my best to sync it up manually during video editing, but the timing is slightly off still. It bugs me. Eugh! Well, I had fun. This turned out more goofy and saucy than I thought, with a bit too much innuendo that leans on campy. The innuendos are 100% unintentional. I was going for rhymes initially (why rhymes?), but I had to roll with what it became at some point. Bleh bleh! (Those are some shiny boots!) :End Notes:
