"Father says that this world isn't for me." this "Father" is trying to shelter the main guy (his name's Norman I think) from the world, and Norman ain't havin it. a moth sent by "God" lures him to try and escape this life. "Father tore out the umbilical cord," the Father did something, maybe let his guard down in an act of trusting his son, and Norman was able to escape him; "the abandonment of scenery in the rear view mirror" "pack up your bags and throw out the toys." he says "honey I'm home," even if he's leaving his actual home, which means adventuring and being free is more of a home to him than the way he was living in basically captivity. he's saying hello to his new life. "whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful." this could mean a number of things. I think Norman trusts God because God isn't as confining as his Father, and begins to think that He is good and truthful and all. so God has the moth chained to his hand, which is what I was saying by God sent out the moth to lure Norman. "you'll hold my hand so you'll never go astray." this is God's way of keeping Norman close to him just like the Father did, but God specifically says it in a kinder way to not drive Norman away. Norman was away from his Father so God fucking ate him. maybe this was the kind of behavior his Father was trying to protect him from. um idk what the spider's purpose is. "to get out of here is to promise me a kiss," maybe he's some sort of Death? the only way to get out of "here" is to die. God gives Norman a vivisection, and I think maybe transforms him into an angel?? *also "the abandonment of scenery in the mind of mother" is a a little phrase explaining that Norman's mother is just out of the picture. um yeah I have no idea what's going on later in the song lmao *"don't remember it, don't return to it" is possibly a quote Norman is told, further encouraging him to stay away from Father and come to God that's it I think lol
