FL Miku Rando Music 3.mp4 - Incoherent Generic Song Test

**Enable CC's to understand incoherence** I tried making a generic 4/4 repeating song... Except nothing makes sense and Miku is contemplating her life decisions (as am I). Notes for (future) me!!! ----------------------------- Kinda just hardcore spammed this in 9 hours (the "song"). Afterwards I spent another 4 hours doing a crappy obligatory "moody staring while streetlights pass by in a car" sorta thing. With the power of MMD, and crappy levels-adjustment of colors and rotoscoping masks! I have no idea what I'm doing. Yeah. I don't really know. Everything just kinda kicked into gear and I think my sleep deprivation made me think this was the bomb. But the more lucid I get, the more I realize I'm listening to white noise. Or maybe my subconscious is making me make terrible white noise in a way to tell me to go to sleep. Hrm, who knows? Anyways I should really be asleep. I'm literally making so many typing mistakes while typing this out. I need sleep. Going back to fix grammar. I lost a lot of sleep for this racoon food. But, practice is practice. And I think even if this was a pretty marginal failure, in terms of an outcome this was definitely a nice hit in taking some practice for writing lyrics and making crappy music. And all in one "relatively speaking", sitting. After 6.5 hours of nonstop slamming my midi keyboard, I took a 5 hour nap at 6AM, then went back to it for another 2.5hours (across a whole day) of jamming it all in. Then the four hours to- (it's now 12:50AM) now. I actually made something ALMOST two minutes this time (granted everything quite literally just loops, but hey-). What is Miku saying? I don't know. Can I understand her? Haha, nope! Can you understand her? HAHA. NOPE. Is the song and lyrics trash? You betcha. But I think I learned some stuff. In fact this whole shebang was started because I was making dumb midi noises and made Miku say dumb midi notes. Then my monkey brain flipped a switch. The result? Garbage. But funny garbage, to me anyway. I'll type some lyrics in. Shouldn't take too long... but my sleep though... Oh well... (Future-Past Me) Hey hey hey, I got some sleep. And wow this is (still) doggo. Anyway, a few extra things to (still) point out... -I def need to pay attention to volume and mixing more. It's very hard to hear Miku and she is mostly drowned out by my grating instrumentals. Vocals should (mostly) take center stage and be audible throughout... I think I did better this time than the last few times, but I still need to pay attention and play around more. -Song's BPM is 115. I noticed I tend to set my bpm very fast, and I needed to slow down a little. So this time I went with 115. It sounds better. Unfortunately, my rhythm is still s***. -I need to do more speaker tests. I can hear a lot on my IEM's but once I listen to my speakers, the clarity is lost and the reality settles in for what an average listener can hear. For example, you can't really hear the bad Sine Wave Bass going off in the background on regular speakers. But on headphones/earbuds you can. Again, mixing issues. -You can hear the Guitar VST's fret noises in the background. It's hilariously grating. -Just because I know future-future me will want to know and I'll forget at some point: Basically, the MV is just a 7-sec MMD Video loop. It features a YYB Hatsune Miku Default model that is standing upright. MMD's rendered shadows have been turned off. Using YYB's parameter slider's, I disabled the outline on the model. Gave Miku a neutral/sad mopey face. I then proceeded to have her put her arms behind her head, while standing up. The camera has then been rotated and angled to give the false sense of Miku laying down. Yes, I'm that lazy. Afterwards, using MMD's lacking lighting sliders, I change the tone of the image into a darker red/purple hue to imitate a dim light render. I then animate Miku blinking at a set interval across 7 seconds. Then rendered an image and a video. The image render is taken to Krita in order for me to draw a crappy backseat car picture using the image render as a reference. The colors of the backseat are all greyscale, but there is a tint of red in there. Next, in Kdenlive, I take the backseat image and Miku's video and slap them in. They are both duplicated. The duplicated tracks are then color graded to have a uniform dark blue appearance emulating a darkness/shadow render. Then, a rotoscoping mask filter is applied on both dark tracks separately in order to let the original "lit" up renders appear. Motion and keyframes are applied on the rotoscoping masks. Thus the terrible illusion of a light passing by is somewhat expressed through the power of 2D gimmickry and me being lazy. However the illusion is broken if you even think for a split second about how physics and lights work. On a side note, I had to question whether Miku could even lay down flat in the backseat of a car. Then I remembered Miku is canonically smol.
